Alice Louise Bobbitt, age 78, of Beaver City, Nebraska died Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at Good Samaritan Hospital at Kearney, Nebraska. She was born August 8, 1928 at Des Moines, Iowa to Raymond and Esther (Hawk) Allen.
She grew up and was raised in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Des Moines, Iowa High School with the class of 1946. She married Frank Bobbitt on August 26, 1947 at Des Moines, Iowa. She and her husband served as ministers to Christian Churches in Missouri, Oklahoma, McCook, Nebraska, Canada and in Kansas. They served the Presbyterian Churches in Lemoyne and Keystone, Nebraska from 1986 until 1991. They served the Methodist Churches at Cambridge, Alma and Republican City, Nebraska retiring in 1994 and moved to Beaver City, Nebraska. They served the Methodist Churches in Hendley and Wilsonville, Nebraska after retirement. She was a member of First United Methodist Church at Beaver City, Nebraska, church Bible Study group. Alice was past member of Kitchen Queens Extension Club at Beaver City, Nebraska.
Preceded in death by parents, husband Frank, November 20, 2002, two grand-daughters; Chelsey and Charlye Kehler and one Grandson Gordon Russel, Jr.
Survivors include; 2 Sons: Charles Bobbitt & wife Janis of Mishawaka, Indiana

3 Daughters: Cheryl & husband Gordon Russel, Sr., of Rocky Mount, Missouri.

Chanda Gilbert of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

Viewing & visitation will be Thursday, 1 PM until 8 PM and Friday 9 AM until 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska.
Graveside services will be prior to Memorial Services at 9:30 AM at Mount Hope Cemetery at Beaver City, Nebraska followed by Memorial Services at 10:30 AM on Saturday, September 2, 2006, at First Presbyterian Church in Beaver City, Nebraska with Pastor Keith Theobald, officiating. Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska in charge of arrangements.
