Arvida L. Warner, age 82, of Beaver City, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015, at Beaver City, Nebraska. She was born to Floyd G. & Gladys (Stone) Weatherwax on March 29, 1933 three miles south of Hollinger, Nebraska on the Weatherwax Farm.
Arvida attended school at Beaver City High School and graduated with the class of 1950. She worked for a short time for the Furnas County Clerk, Roscoe Story. On January 3, 1951 she married Jerry D. Warner at Kessler Air Force Base at Biloxi, Mississippi. To this union four children were born; Nancy, Scott, Janice, & Joni. After Jerry served his country, they moved to a farm on the west side of Hendley, Nebraska. They would farm there for 10 years before buying and moving to the Courtright Farm on the west side of Beaver City, Nebraska.
Arvida kept busy raising a family and doing the bookkeeping for the farm and Warner Dirt Construction. She also worked for the Beaver City Manor as activities director and would help Jerry out on the farm whether running a truck during harvest or bring meals out for everyone.
She was a member of the Methodist Church in Hendley, PEO Chapter BV, Grange, Furnas County Historical Society, Beaver City Tree Board. She volunteered many hours at the Beaver City Thrift Store, but always made time to follow her grandchildren in all their activities.
Arvida was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ivan & Irvin, sister Arlene Pittman.
She is survived by her husband Jerry D. Warner of Beaver City, Nebraska, Daughter Nancy & husband Jack Becker of Beaver City, Nebraska, Son Scott & wife Kim Warner of Kansas City, Missouri, Daughters Janice & husband Bob Byrns of Lexington, Nebraska & Joni Warner-McCoy of Hastings, Nebraska.
Grandchildren: Tara, Joshua, JayCee, Jacob, Jayden, Hannah, Colton, Levie

There will be no viewing or visitation as it was Arvida’s wishes for cremation. Celebration of Life will be Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 11 AM at the Faith Community Church in Beaver City, Nebraska with Pastor Daryl Kats, officiating. Private Family inurnment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery at Beaver City, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
