Audie R. “Rick” Pearson III, age 61, of Holbrook, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at his home. He was born on September 13, 1951 to Audie R. II and Helen (Gibson) Pearson at Ida, Louisiana.
He grew up in the Texarkana, Arkansas and Texas area. After his education, he entered the U.S. Marine Corp. After serving his country, he got into the entertaining business by writing and performing gospel and country western music. He enjoyed playing at many events; including opening for country performers like Mel & Pam Tullis, & Boxcar Willie at Branson, Missouri. He enjoyed performing with his own band from 1998 until 2001, called the “Ark-La-Tex Ramblers” with Jack Green on the steel guitar. He married Sheila G. Dixon on May 2, 1994. He would also drive a truck for some years, working for several companies hauling freight. In April of 2009 they moved to Holbrook, Nebraska. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Holbrook, Nebraska.
He was preceded in death by his father, son Jerry M. Pearson Colvin
He was survived by his wife Sheila Pearson of Holbrook, Nebraska
