Barbara K. Vacha, age 67, of Beaver City, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at Harlan County Hospital, Alma, Nebraska. She was born on November 25, 1946 at Norfolk, Nebraska to Donald & Charlotte (Reeves) Ganser.
She attended Albion High School and graduated with the class of 1965. She then began to work at the nursing home in Albion, Nebraska. On June 3, 1972 she married Donald Vacha and they made their home in Albion. She would work at the Westend Grocery Store in Albion before moving to Battle Creek, Nebraska. They were blessed with two children: Kelly & Kasey. In 1982 they moved to Beaver City, Nebraska, then for a short time in Elm Creek, Nebraska before moving back to Beaver City in 1987. She would work as the Activities Director at the Beaver City Manor and later the Oxford Nursing Home before it would later close. She enjoyed reading, cross stitching, gardening, & loved to decorate for the holidays. She enjoyed helping people as an in home caregiver. She was a member of the Friends and Neighbors Club at Elm Creek & youth group leader at Methodist Church in Beaver City.
She is preceded in death by her parents, & granddaughter Kelsey Leann Vacha.
She is survived by her husband: Don Vacha of Beaver City, Nebraska

Son: Kasey Vacha & Hannah Clark of Beaver City, Nebraska
Brother: Timothy Ganser & Michael Murphy of Los Angeles, California
Grandchildren: Emily, Tristin, & Peyton Thompson, Makayla & Audrey Vacha, Charlie, Jackson, & Henry Benson

Viewing and visitation will be Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 10 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska. Funeral services will be Friday, August 15, 2014 at 11 AM at the United Methodist Church in Beaver City, Nebraska with Pastor Keith Theobald, officiating. Interment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery at Madison, Nebraska on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 1 PM. Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
