Billy Joe Hames

Billy Joe Hames, age 78, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the CHI Good Samaritan Hospital, in Kearney, Nebraska. He was born on June 20, 1946, in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Delbert Hames and Wanda L. Brown.

Billy worked different jobs throughout his life, but especially enjoyed driving a truck for a logging company in Colorado. He was a caring person and enjoyed helping people out when he could.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Glenda Freeborn.

He is survived by his sister Mary Hunter and friend Cathy Rhodes. 

There will be no service as cremation was chosen. Garey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
