Bonnie D Wendland-Pfeiffer

Arapahoe, Nebraska Bonnie D Wendland-Pfeiffer, age 72, of Elwood, Nebraska, formerly of Holbrook Nebraska passed away Thursday, January 31, 2008 at the Elwood Care Center, Elwood, Nebraska. She was born on May 9, 1935 at Arapahoe, Nebraska to Walter L. & D. Velma (Dunlap) Breinig. She was baptized into faith in 1943, at the First United Methodist Church in Arapahoe, Nebraska. She graduated from Arapahoe High School with the Class of 1953. On June 15, 1957 she was united in marriage to Robert J. Wendland at Immanuel Lutheran Church, north of Arapahoe, Nebraska. They made their home in Arapahoe and she would work at Moore’s Supermarket, Wagner’s Supermarket, & Williamson Funeral Home & Wenburg Funeral Home, all of Arapahoe, Nebraska. On October 17, 1995, her husband Robert passed away. She would then marry Lyle M. Pfeiffer on December 12, 1998 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe, Nebraska. They made their home at Holbrook, Nebraska. Due to health reason she would then have to move to the Elwood Care Center, in Elwood, Nebraska. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Arapahoe, Nebraska, Eastern Star of Arapahoe, Nebraska and was a leader for the local Girl Scouts. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, & Sister Connie Sander. She is survived by husband: Lyle Pfeiffer of Holbrook, Nebraska Son: LeRoy & wife Kristine Wendland of Elwood, Nebraska Daughters: Elizabeth Heckenlively & friend Jerry Olbricht of Scottsbluff, NE Diann & husband Steve Cooksley of Elwood, Nebraska Grandchildren: 5 Great-Grandchildren: 2 Sister: Donna & husband Leland McCoy of Arapahoe, Nebraska Condolences or personal reflections can be left at http://www.wenburgfuneralhome.com/. Viewing & visitation will be Friday, February 1, 2008 from 12 PM till 8 PM at the Funeral Home and prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 1:30 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. David Otten, officiating. Burial will be at the Arapahoe Cemetery, Arapahoe, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of arrangements.
