Carol I. Haussler

Carol I. Haussler, age 86, of Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at CA Mues Good Samaritan Center, in Arapahoe, Nebraska. She was born on October 10, 1928 in Gosper County to Carl & Leana (Hilker) Menze. She attended school at Arapahoe High School and graduated with the class of 1945. She married Robert Haussler in the spring of 1947, they farmed on the family farm. To this union three children were born; Michael, Steven, & Merrie. She helped out on the farm with chores and farm work. Carol worked at the CA Mues Good Samaritan Nursing Home for 29 years. She enjoyed time in her garden with many flowers, feeding birds, and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Arapahoe, Nebraska. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers Larry & Brice Menze She is survived by her sons: Michael Haussler of Arapahoe, Nebraska Steven Haussler of Axtell, Nebraska Daughter: Merrie Nickel of Kearney, Nebraska Brother: Don & wife Freda Menze of Hutchinson, Kansas Sisters: Audre Haussler of Arapahoe, Nebraska Judy Huxoll of Holbrook, Nebraska 2 Grandchildren: Heidi & Caitlen 3 Great Grandchildren: Kayleigh, Megan, & Heather 1 Great-Great grandson: Tristan Condolences or personal reflections can be left at wenburgfuneralhome.com Viewing and visitation will be Monday, November 3, 2014 from 10 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home and prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 10:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church, in Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. James Moshier, officiating. Interment will be at St. Matthews Cemetery at Arapahoe, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
