Carol I. White, age 92, of Oxford, Nebraska died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Methodist Homes in Holdrege, Nebraska. She was born January 16, 1920 at Stamford, Nebraska to Harold and Grace (Bain) West.
Carol grew up in the Precept area, attending country school. She married Ralph White on April 13, 1941 at Elwood, Nebraska. Following marriage they continued to farm in the Precept area until 1956 when they moved into Oxford. Her husband Ralph died January 11, 1985. Carol had been a cook for several years at the Oxford Hospital and nursing home when they were operating. She continued to live in Oxford until January of 2012 when she moved to Holdrege Methodist Homes in Holdrege, Nebraska.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Oxford, Nebraska, was a Gold Star Mother and also a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post #219 of Oxford, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Gerry on November 5, 1960, husband Ralph January 11, 1985 and her Brother Wendell West.
She is survived by a son: Larry White and his wife Denise of Oxford, Nebraska.
Daughter: Joann Davis and husband Jon of Albuquerque, New Mexico
Grandchildren: 4 Great-Grandchildren: 6
As per her wish the casket will only be open for the family therefore no viewing or visitation.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 1 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska with Pastor Linda Knipping, officiating. Burial to follow at Oxford Cemetery at Oxford, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska in charge of arrangements.
