Carolyn Sue Wendland

Arapahoe, Nebraska Carolyn Sue Wendland, age 60, of Arapahoe, Nebraska died on Friday, December 2, 2011 at the Cambridge Hospital, in Cambridge, Nebraska. She was born on March 7, 1951 at McCook, Nebraska to Richard & Viola (Wieland) Wendland. She attended school at Arapahoe High School and graduated with the class of 1969. She went on to Kearney State College, in Kearney, Nebraska and earned her Bachelors degree in Physical Education. She worked a couple years at Baldwin Manufacturing in Kearney, before returning to Arapahoe. She would then work at Becton Dickinson of Holdrege, Nebraska where she was currently employed. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Arapahoe, Nebraska. Carolyn enjoyed watching different sporting events and cooking, while sharing what she made with her family and everyone at work. She volunteered around the community by coaching girl's softball and working at the Crystal Theatre. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother John Wendland, sister-in-law Shelli Wendland She is survived by her brothers: Jim & wife Charlotte Thompson of Trinidad, Colorado Darius & wife Beth Wendland of Arapahoe, Nebraska David Wendland of Holbrook, Nebraska Dennis Wendland of Lincoln, Nebraska Mike & wife Emily Wendland of Clermont, Florida And many Nieces and nephews Condolences and personal reflections may be left at wenburgfuneralhome.com Viewing and visitation will be Monday, December 5, 2011 from 10 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Arapahoe, Nebraska and prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church, at Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. James Moshier, officiating. Cremation will follow the service with a private family inurnment at a later date at the Arapahoe Cemetery, Arapahoe, Nebraska. Memorials are suggested to the Arapahoe Library or the donor's choice. Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
