Dale Hiram Phillips

Arapahoe, Nebraska Dale Hiram Phillips, age 94, of Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away on Monday, June 9, 2008 at C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center, in Arapahoe, Nebraska. He was born on August 7, 1913 in Gosper County, Nebraska to Roy E. & Effie Mae (Foster) Phillips. He grew up north of Arapahoe, Nebraska in Gosper County. On March 22, 1936 he married Wilda Mae Rhodes at Lexington, Nebraska. They would make their home north of Arapahoe, Nebraska where they farmed and raised cattle. He would also work for Lammel's Plumbing & Heating of Arapahoe, Nebraska for 10 years. In 1963, they moved to Arapahoe, Nebraska. His wife Wilda would pass away in January of 1970. On August 30, 1974 he would marry Phyllis Morgan in Colorado. After their marriage, they would move to Lamar, Colorado were he would work for the Sheriff's Posse and board horses. His wife Phyllis would pass away on May 6, 1993. He would move back to Arapahoe, Nebraska in 2003 and in May of 2008 he moved into the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center, in Arapahoe, Nebraska. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Cecil Phillips, wife Wilda Mae Phillips, wife Phyllis Phillips, daughter Beverly Ann (Lovelace) Waline, sister-in-law's Margie White Phillips, & Norma Shoefeldt Phillips. He is survived by Daughter: Dixie & husband Thomas Rask of Edison, Nebraska Step-Son: Michael Oldham of Kansas Step-Daughter: Teresa Dixon of Topeka, Kansas Grandchildren: 8 Great-Grandchildren: 8 Great-Great Grandchildren: 1 Condolences and personal reflections may be left at www.wenburgfuneralhome.com Viewing & visitation will be Thursday, June 12, from 1 PM till 8 PM and Friday, June 13, from 9 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Arapahoe, Nebraska and prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 14, at 2 PM at Edison Christian Church, Edison, Nebraska with Pastor Kirk Einspahr, officiating. Burial will be at the Arapahoe Cemetery, Arapahoe, Nebraska.
