Daniel Sherman "Tugboat" Snell, age 58, of Arapahoe, Nebraska, formerly of Holbrook, Nebraska died on February 19, 2009 at his home. He was born on June 6, 1950 at Hastings, Nebraska to Christopher C. & Mary Ellen (Jedounek) Snell
He attended school and graduated from Hastings High School with the class of 1968. After high school he entered the Marines and served in Guam & Japan, before going to Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1973. He married Charlene Titman on October 29, 1977. They would later divorce. In 1979 he went to Lockport, Louisiana and worked as a deckhand on a "Tugboat" for a year and then became captain. In 1989, he moved to Cambridge, Nebraska and worked for Cambridge Coop. In 1998, he worked for Adams Construction, in Arapahoe, Nebraska until 2008.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his daughter Misty Rose & husband Larry Vickers of Fort Morgan, Colorado
Brothers: Richard & wife Carol Snell of Craig, Colorado
Thomas Snell of Sunnyvale, California
Sister: Molly Snell of Phoenix, Arizona
2 Grandchildren: Amelia Raigh & Augustus Morgan Vickers

Funeral services will be Friday, March 6, 2009 at 6:30 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Arapahoe, Nebraska with Pastor Brad Harris, officiating. Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
