Darien Jenette Urbom

Darien Jenette Urbom, age 96, of Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe. Darien was born on February 17, 1925 at Arapahoe, Nebraska to Fred C. and Elfrieda (Monter) Hermes. She grew up in Arapahoe, Nebraska and graduated from Arapahoe High School in 1942. Darien married Ward C. Urbom on May 26, 1946. She and Ward made their home in Arapahoe, Nebraska, where they were long-time members of Trinity Lutheran Church. She is survived by her children, Dwana Mues and her husband Gary Stromberg of Kearney, Nebraska; son David Urbom and his wife Christine of Arapahoe, Nebraska, and son Kevin Urbom and his wife Mitzi of Arapahoe, Nebraska. She is also survived by grandchildren, Adam Mues, Colin Mues, Erin Urbom, Jonathan Urbom, Sarah Urbom Maaske, Chris Clouse, Jeremy Clouse and Lyndzie Clouse Holtze and 17 grandchildren. Survivors also include her brother, Leyland Hermes and his wife, Delores of Rogers, Arkansas and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ward Urbom, her sister Genevieve (Herb) Wendland and a son-in-law, Wesley Mues. Private family funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. James Moshier, officiating. Service will be livestreamed at “Trinity Lutheran Church” Facebook page. Interment following at Arapahoe Cemetery, Arapahoe, Nebraska.
