Dennis Ray Jauken (DJ)

Dennis Ray Jauken (DJ), age 71, of Holdrege, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Christian Homes in Holdrege, Nebraska with family by his side. He was born on July 11, 1949 at Holdrege, Nebraska to Bill and Orpha (Cress) Jauken, the oldest of 3 children. He grew up on the family farm northeast of Oxford, Nebraska and graduated from Oxford High School with the class of 1969. He went on to attend college in Curtis, Nebraska. He worked for the Nebraska Department of Roads out of Holdrege for 35 years. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, and spending time with his kids, grandchildren, and friends. He lived in Oxford for most of his life. Survivors include his son Tim and wife Dixie Jauken of Wilsonville, Nebraska, daughter Amanda and husband Buck Franssen of Arapahoe, Nebraska, sister Loretta and husband Lloyd Lueking of Oxford, Nebraska, and brother Wilber Jauken of Lincoln, Nebraska, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Dennis’s wishes were to be cremated. There will be no visitation. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Oxford Cemetery, Oxford, Nebraska. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dennis Jauken Memorial, %First Central Bank of Arapahoe. Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
