Donald William Monter, age 89, of Overland Park, Kansas, formerly of Arapahoe, Nebraska died on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at his home. He was born on July 28, 1920 at the family farm outside of Arapahoe, Nebraska in Gosper County to William H. & Lillie C. (Nieman) Monter.
He was baptized on August 22, 1920 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe, Nebraska and confirmed in 1934. On September 15, 1940 he married Luella Caroline Puls. Their marriage was blessed with 3 children, Deanna Kay, Cara Sue, & Kent Donald. They were members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe, Nebraska most of their lives, until they moved to Overland Park and became members of Bethany Lutheran Church. His passion in life was serving family and friends with his abilities in construction, maintenance, and handyman work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, twin sister Clair Ann, daughters Deanna Kay, & Cara Sue, 2 grandchildren, 1 great grandson.
He is survived by his Wife Luella C. Monter of Overland Park, Kansas

Viewing and visitation will be Monday, July 19, from 9 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home, in Arapahoe, Nebraska and prior to the service at the church, with the family present from 10:30 AM till 12 PM. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 20, at 10:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church, in Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. James Moshier, officiating. Burial will be at the Arapahoe Cemetery, in Arapahoe, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
