Donna Ruth Bose

Donna Ruth Bose, age 90, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Blue Valley Care Center in Hebron, Nebraska. She was born to Wynnie and Fern (Howard) Hester on February 19, 1925 at Edison, Nebraska. In her youth Donna was a member of the Christian Church in Beaver City, Nebraska and attended school in Beaver City until her senior year when she graduated from Oxford High School, of Oxford, Nebraska. Later in life she was a member of the Stamford Christian Church, of Stamford, Nebraska. On October 27, 1946, Donna was united in marriage to James Bose. To this union two children were born, Danny and Kathleen. Donna and her husband lived on the Bose farm north of Stamford until Jim's death in 1987 after which she moved to Stamford, Nebraska. Donna enjoyed being a homemaker. She always had a huge garden and many flowers. She also loved to cook. Her family really enjoyed her fried chicken and potato salad. After her children graduated and left home, Donna worked in a clothing store and Preston drug store in Oxford, Nebraska. She especially valued the moments when her three granddaughters would come for extended visits in the summer time. Donna was preceded in death by her parent, husband, two sisters: infant Norma Jean and Roberta Woolston, Brother in-laws: Robert Woolston and Dean Blincow. She is survived by her son: Dan Bose and wife Trudy of Stamford, Nebraska Daughter: Kathy Bauhard and husband Marlin of Hebron, Nebraska Sisters: Pauline Blincow of Oxford, Bonita Dusenberry and husband Don of Arapahoe 3 Granddaughters and their husbands; Shauna and Jamie LaFleur of Sioux City Iowa, Melissa and Kyle Cheatham of Omaha and Katie and Jesse Walz of Louisville. Donna was also blessed by 5 great grandchildren, Cole, Grayson, and Ella Cheatham, Ainsley and Everly Walz. Condolences or personal reflections can be left at wenburgfuneralhome.com Graveside services will be Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 2PM at the Stamford Cemetery, with Pastor Brian Jenkins, officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation. Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
