Dorothy Jean Loudenslager

Arapahoe, Nebraska Dorothy Jean Loudenslager, age 67, of Holbrook, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska. She was born on February 28, 1945 at Harlan, Iowa to Rasmus & Alma Marie C. (Peters) Nielsen. She grew up at Irwin, Iowa and attended country school and Irvin High School graduating with the class of 1963. She married Fred Loudenslager Sr. on August 29, 1964 at Harlan, Iowa. They lived in Central Iowa and Nebraska. She graduated from beautician school, then owned and operated G-Nees Hair Salon in Hartford, Iowa. She retired in 1991 and later they moved to Holbrook, Nebraska. She was a member of the Eastern Star at Carlisle, Iowa. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Elmer, Virgil, & Donald Nielsen, and sister Alice Winther. She is survived by her husband Fred Loudenslager Sr. of Holbrook, Nebraska Son: Fred Jr. & wife Mellissa Loudenslager of Indianola, Iowa Daughters: Wendy Squier of Fresno, California Brenda L. & husband Bryon Keeney of Indianola, Iowa Chanda & husband Jeff Carlson of Arapahoe, Nebraska 11 Grandchildren: Danielle & Darby Jane Squier, Ty, Jayce, & Gavin Keeney, Morgan & husband Joseph Keeney-Robbins, Ashlee & Paige Loudenslager, Chloe, Colton, & Cydney Carlson 2 Great-Grandchildren: Joseph Douglas Robbins & Marcus Mahr Brothers: Marvin & wife Laurel Nielsen of Audobon, Iowa Sisters: Irene Hansen of Audubon, Iowa Donna & husband Glenn Byriel of Boone, Iowa Mary & husband John Steenhusen of Irwin, Iowa Janelle Roberts of Exira, Iowa Condolences or personal reflections can be left at wenburgfuneralhome.com There will be no viewing or visitation. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 1 PM at First United Methodist Church, in Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. Michael Flury, officiating. Interment will be at the Arapahoe Cemetery, Arapahoe, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
