Elsie Clason Dunlap; age 85, of Beaver City, Nebraska formerly of Arapahoe, Nebraska died Saturday, December 30, 2006 at Beaver City Manor at Beaver City, Nebraska. She was born February 23, 1921 at Orleans, Nebraska to Theodore & Millie (Noren) Christensen.
She grew up in Edison, Nebraska where she attended school. She married Wayne Clason on March 7, 1936 at Norton, Kansas. They farmed South of Beaver City till his death on July 4, 1964. In September of 1965 she attended Nursing School at Kearney, Nebraska receiving LPN degree. She married Wayne Dunlap on Oct 2, 1966 at Beaver City, Nebraska. They lived in Arapahoe, Nebraska where she was LPN at Cambridge Hospital and later Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Arapahoe retiring in mid 90’s. She had belonged to Town & County Extension Club at Beaver City. She second husband Wayne Dunlap died July 17, 2000. She lived in Oxford & McCook nursing homes and then moved into Beaver City Manor on March 12, 2004. She was a member of Church of Christ at Arapahoe, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by parents, two husbands, two daughters: Janice in 1940, Joycelyn Hyke in 1976, Twin grandsons; Ronnie & Donnie Chapman, Three sisters: Edith Young, Edna Harman and Estelline Brown, Two brothers: Ralph & Paul Christensen, 2 Son-in-laws; Gary Chapman in 1973 and Robert Hyke in 2002.
Survivors include; Son: Dennis Clason & wife Karla of Beaver City, Nebraska
2 Daughters: Juanita & husband Merle Clason of Beaver City, Nebraska
Norma Lee Chapman & friend Les Vanover of Oxford, Nebraska.
3 Step-Sons: Charles Dunlap & wife Thelma of Kearney, Nebraska
Don Dunlalp & wife Nancy of Lincoln, Nebraska
Rod Dunlap & wife Sara of Middleburg, Florida
1 Step-Daughter: Charlotte & husband Larry Cady of Odessa, Nebraska

Viewing and visitation will be Tuesday, January 2, 2007, 9 AM until 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska and prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 1:30 PM at Grace Brethren Church in Beaver City, Nebraska with Pastor Dwain Fowler, officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery at Beaver City, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska in charge of services.
