Ervin August William Petermann, age 86, of Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away on Friday, December 21, 2007 at C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center, in Arapahoe, Nebraska. He was born on March 5, 1921 at Arapahoe, Nebraska to Frank & Margaret (Monter) Petermann .
He grew up on the family farm north of Arapahoe, Nebraska. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School and graduated from the 8th grade. He would then attended Arapahoe High School and graduate with the class of 1940. He served in the U.S. military from 1942 until 1945 when he was discharged. On June 23, 1946 he married Beata Ziebell and they made their home north of Arapahoe, Nebraska and farmed for many years. In 1954, they moved onto the Herman & Anna Ziebell farm and lived there until moving into Arapahoe, Nebraska in 2004.
He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church & Lutheran's Layman League of Arapahoe, Nebraska. He would also serve as Board Member for the Arapahoe Coop.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Oscar Petermann.
He is survived by his wife: Beata Petermann of Arapahoe, Nebraska

Viewing & visitation will be Wednesday, December 26, from 9 AM until 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home, in Arapahoe, Nebraska and prior to the funeral service at the church. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 10 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, at Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. David Otten, officiating. Burial will be at the Immanuel Cemetery, Arapahoe, Nebraska. Military rites will be provided by the Burton's Bend VFW Post #9357. Wenburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
