Esther Wallace Farrington, age 97, of Little, Silver, New Jersey formerly of Edison & Arapahoe, Nebraska area died Saturday, September 27, 2008 in New Jersey. She was born October 5, 1910 at Edison, Nebraska to Clyde and Lillian (Bishop) Fleharty.
She grew up in the Edison area, graduating from Edison High School. She attended Hasting College at Hastings, Nebraska. Graduating with a elementary teaching degree. She moved to New Jersey and married James F. Wallace on February 4, 1945. Mr. Wallace died March 4, 1969. She then married Warren Farrington in New Jersey, he died in 2001.
She taught elementary school for 30 years in New Jersey. She lived 62 years in Little Silver, New Jersey. She was very active in the Red Banks, NJ United Methodist Church where she was receptionist for the church for 16 years retiring in 1996. She was named Woman of the Year in 1992.
She was preceded in death by parents, 2 Sisters, Madge Hill and Ilda Dodson.

2 Step-Sons; Warren Farrington, Jr of Greenville Junction, NJ
Doug Farrington, Hilton Head, SC
Step-Daughter: Joyce Hall of Bennington, VT
Sister: Gladys and husband Ray Aldrich of McCook, NE

Viewing and visitation will be Thursday, Oct 2, 2008, noon till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Arapahoe, Nebraska with the family being present from 3 until 6.
Funeral services will be Friday, Oct 3, 2008 at 10 AM at First United Methodist Church at Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. Mike Flurry, officiating. Burial will follow at Arapahoe Cemetery, Arapahoe, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe, Nebraska in charge of arrangements.
