Beaver City, NEbraska Florene H. Herren, age 84, of Beaver City, Nebraska died Monday, December 17, 2007 at the Beaver City Manor in Beaver City, Nebraska. She was born May 3, 1923 at Hendley, Nebraska to Fred and Anna (Holzworth) Brakhahn . She grew up in Hendley, Nebraska and attended Hendley High School. She married George Herren on November 16, 1940 at Beaver City, Nebraska. They farmed 2 miles south of Hendley and moved into Hendley in 1943. They moved to Beaver City, Nebraska in 1962. She worked at several places in the community. She worked at Brewster Hospital for several years. She owned and operated the Mayo Nursing Home for several years, from 1960 until current Beaver City Manor was opened in 1967. She worked at Beaver City Manor for a number of years. Her husband George died May 3, 1997. She moved to Beaver City Plaza in 1997 and then to Beaver City Manor in 2007. She was a member of First Christian Church at Beaver City, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by parents, and husband George Sr. Survivors include 2 Son; George Jr. & wife Myrna of Johnson Lake, Nebraska Don and wife Sharon of Kearney, Nebraska 2 Daughters: Betty and husband Norman Gedge of Honolulu, HI Nancy Fahnholz of Beaver City, Nebraska Grandchildren: 11 Great Grandchildren: 13 Great-Great Grandchildren: 2 Condolences or personal reflections can be left at www.wenburgfuneralhome.com Viewing and visitation will be Wednesday and Thursday, 9 AM until 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska and prior to services Friday. Funeral services will be Friday, December 21, 2007 at 1:30 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska with Bill Weaver, officiating. Burial will follow at Hendley Cemetery at Hendley, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska in charge of arrangements.
