Gregg L. Meyer, age 62, of Wilsonville, Nebraska former of Denver, Colorado, died Friday, January 2, 2009 at his home in Wilsonville, Nebraska. He was born December 17, 1946 at Denver, Colorado to Louis C. & Elinor P. (Perkins) Meyer.
Gregg grew up in Lakewood, Colorado and graduated from Bear Creek High School with the Class of 1965. Following graduation he worked for Humbolt Oil Company in Colorado for several years. On January 1, 1973 he started working for the Denver, Colorado Police Department. Gregg married Mary Linda Farnsworth on September 8, 1976 at Denver, Colorado. Gregg became a decorated drug detective over the years with the department, retiring on August 1, 2000. Following retirement they moved to Wilsonville, Nebraska where Gregg enjoyed his love for fishing, and hunting. He also wrote articles for several Fishing magazines. He belonged to a number of Police and Detective organizations. He also belonged to the Church on the Hill at Cambridge, Nebraska.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two Brothers; Brent and Ron

Son: Lance Meyer and wife Stephanie of Littleton, Colorado
Two Grandsons: Gregg and Magnus
Services were entrusted to Wenburg Funeral Home at Beaver City, Nebraska. Private family services will be held at a later date.
