Harold F. Stagemeyer, age 90, of Beaver City, Nebraska passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the Beaver City Manor in Beaver City, Nebraska. He was born on September 16, 1924 in Holbrook, Nebraska to Fred and Mary (Martin) Stagemeyer.
He grew up at Holbrook and attended St. Matthews Parochial School northeast of Holbrook. He worked for a cattle feeder and showed cattle for them across the Midwest. He married Ethel M. Hyke on March 25, 1944 at Norton, Kansas. They made their home on the Stagemeyer farm north of Holbrook, Nebraska were they farmed and ranched. In 1948, he went to work for the Hollingsworth Farm to feed cattle and work on the farm. In 1954, they moved to Hendley, Nebraska and worked for Ward Rice and later for Truman Mosley both of Wilsonville, Nebraska. He would later move to Beaver City, Nebraska in 1972 to work for Jerry Warner.
Harold would go to work for Sperry-New Holland Manufacturing in Lexington, Nebraska for 10 years. After his retirement, he helped local farmers from time to time. He was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Zion Lutheran Church of Hendley, and later Trinity Lutheran Church of Arapahoe, Nebraska. Served on the school board at Hendley School District #99.
He enjoyed going to auctions, tinkering with cars, dancing, and had the ability to never meet a stranger. His life was led by his great faith and trust in the Lord.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Daughter Janet Faye Stagemeyer, Son Larry Harold Stagemeyer, Daughter Sueann Forbes, Grandson Bobby and Granddaughter Katrina Trenchard.

Viewing & visitation will be Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 1 PM till 8 PM with family greeting from 5 PM till 7 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska. Funeral services will be Monday, March 23, 2015 at 1:30 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. James Moshier, officiating. Interment will be at St. Matthews Cemetery, Arapahoe, Nebraska. Memorials are suggested to the Parkinson Foundation or donor’s choice. Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of arrangements.
