Arapahoe, Nebraska Helen C. Cunningham, age 94, of Arapahoe, Nebraska died on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center, in Arapahoe, Nebraska. She was born on March 20, 1914 near Cambridge, Nebraska in Furnas County to Herman P. & Lena (Rupp) Heisleman. She grew up in the Cambridge area and attended school at Cambridge High School graduating with the Class of 1932. She married Vernon A. "Sam" Cunningham on November 15, 1934 at the Methodist Church in Cambridge, Nebraska. They moved to Arapahoe, Nebraska in 1946 when they started Cunningham Feed & Produce. They would own and operate the business for the next 50 years. Her husband V.A."Sam" would pass away on February 22, 2002. She would move to the Good Samaritan Assisted Living and then to the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women of Arapahoe, Nebraska. She was a member and past president of the PEO Chapter C.E. of Arapahoe, Nebraska. A member of the Arapahoe Chamber of Commerce. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Vernon A. "Sam" Cunningham. Survivors include her son John Cunningham of Arapahoe, Nebraska Sister: Faye Loreen Lockenour of Arapahoe, Nebraska Grandchildren: 6 Great-Grandchildren: 8 Condolences and personal reflections may be left at wenburgfuneralhome.com Viewing & visitation will be Saturday, January 31, from 9 AM till 8 PM and Sunday, February 1, from 1 PM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home, in Arapahoe, Nebraska and prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be Monday, February 2, at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church, in Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. Michael Flury, officiating. Interment will be at the Arapahoe Cemetery, in Arapahoe, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of the services
