Helen Jean Walbridge, age 93, of Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away on Monday, October 22, 2012 at the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe, Nebraska. She was born on August 23, 1919 south of Kearney in Kearney County, Nebraska to Joseph Franklin & Emma (Sheckels) Needham.
After high school, Helen worked as a clerk for Union Pacific Railroad. On July 18, 1952 she married Addison Walbridge. They made their home in Lexington, Nebraska for a short time before moving to the Walbridge Farm north of Edison, Nebraska in 1958. They would farm and ranch for many years before moving into Arapahoe in 1994. She would later move to the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center because of health reasons. She enjoyed cooking, volunteering for church, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church & United Methodist Women of Arapahoe, and the Turkey Creek Eveready Club.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, & 6 sisters
She is survived by her husband Addison Walbridge of Arapahoe, Nebraska

John & wife JoDee Walbridge of Arapahoe, Nebraska
Daughter: Rhonda & husband Jim Lakey of Lincoln, Nebraska
9 Grandchildren: Grant Walbridge, Cole & wife Lacey Walbridge, Derek Walbridge, Garth Walbridge, Nathan Lakey, Ali & husband Matt Hamik, Sam Gillen, Max & Faith Walbridge.
1 Great-Granddaughter: Adyson Lakey

There will be no viewing or visitation as cremation was chosen. Memorial services will be Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 11 AM at First United Methodist Church, in Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. Michael Flury & Pastor George Probasco, officiating. Inurnment will be at the Kearney Cemetery, Kearney, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
