Irma Isabelle Haas, age 86, of Beaver City, Nebraska died Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Beaver City Manor after suffering a stroke on July 13, 2010. She was born April 13, 1924 on a farm south of Stamford, Nebraska to Merlin T. & Rena (Marble) Perkins. The family moved to Arthur County, Nebraska and lived there only a short time. The family them moved back to the Precept area south of Beaver City in 1941.
Irma attended various schools before graduating from Beaver City High School with the Class of 1942. She attended Kearney Teachers College and later taught rural county schools south of Beaver City. She taught rural county school until she married Edward C. Haas. The family lived on a farm south of Beaver City for 5 years before moving to a farm six miles north of Beaver City. Ed and Irma farmed there until 1974 when they retired and moved into Beaver City, Nebraska. She was a member of First Christian Church, VFW Women's Auxiliary, Community Senior Center and served on the county election board north of Beaver City. She moved to Beaver City Manor in September of 2008.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Ed on April 7, 1982.

Grandchildren: 4 and 1 Great-granddaughter
Viewing and visitation will be Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 9 AM until 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska and prior to services Friday at the church. Memorial established to either First Christian Church or Beaver City Senior Center in her memory and can be left at funeral home or at the church Friday.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 30, 2010 at 10:30 AM at First Christian Church in Beaver City with Pastor John Sievering, officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery at Beaver City, Nebraska.
