Iva Pearl Breinig, age 94, of Arapahoe, NE died Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center, Arapahoe, NE. She was born near Edison, Nebraska on June 18, 1910 to Robert A. & Silva (Fisher) Richardson.
She attended rural school in the areas in which they lived and graduated from Arapahoe High School with the Class of 1929. She taught in the rural school northeast of Arapahoe known as the Lone Tree School for 3 years. Then later taught 2 years at the Gardner school, also located northeast of Arapahoe, NE, in the community in which they lived. On March 2, 1932 she was united in marriage to Earnest L. Breinig. The early years of their marriage were spent on a farm north of Holbrook, later moving to a farm northeast of Arapahoe, where they resided until the early 1950’s when they moved south of Cambridge, NE. In 1970, when her husband’s health began to fail, they moved back to Arapahoe, and she worked at the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center for 6 ½ years. When her eyesight failed to where she could no longer see well enough to take care of herself, she entered the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center in June of 1993.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant brother, & one sister.
She is survived by her daughter: Delores & husband Floyd Fisher, of Arapahoe, NE

Viewing and visitation is Thursday, January 27, 2005 from 1 PM till 8 PM, Friday, Jan. 28, 2005 from 9 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home, in Arapahoe, NE and prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 29, at 2 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Arapahoe, NE with Rev. Hyeongdong Baek, officiating. Burial is at the Arapahoe Cemetery, Arapahoe, NE. Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, NE which is in charge of the arrangements.
