James Thomas Utterback, age 61, of Arapahoe, Nebraska, died Sunday, March 18, 2007 at his home. He was born on January 2, 1946 at Arapahoe, Nebraska to James T. & Gladys L. (Reitz) Utterback.
He attended school in Arapahoe, Nebraska and graduated with the Class of 1965 from Arapahoe High School. He would then attend the University of Nebraska at Curtis College of Technical Agriculture for 2 years. He would then serve in the Army from April of 1968 until February of 1970. After his service time he married Marty Hoover and they made their home in Arapahoe, Nebraska. He would work with his father on the farm and work construction for various people. For several years he worked for Trico Fertilizer plant as a fertilizer blender. He would also work as a truck driver for Paulsen, Inc., of Arapahoe, Nebraska. He would then retire due to health problems. He was a member of the American Legion Post #343 of Edison, Nebraska.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Tracie Utterback, brother Wayne Utterback, Sister Elsa Darleen Utterback

Viewing & visitation will be Wednesday, March 21, from 9 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home, in Arapahoe, Nebraska and prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 22, at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. Michael Flury, officiating. Interment will be at Arapahoe Cemetery, at Arapahoe, Nebraska. Military rites provided by American Legion Post #343 of Edison, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of arrangements.
