Arapahoe, Nebraska Janet Andrews, age 70, of Cambridge, Nebraska, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center, in Arapahoe, Nebraska. She was born on December 24, 1936 in Springer, New Mexico to George & Margaret (Miller) Laumbach. As an 8th grader in 1950 , Janet was baptized and confirmed as a member of the Methodist Church in Springer, NM. She graduated from Springer High School in 1954. She attended college at the University of Denver. She was hired in 1958 to teach business classes at the high school in Cambridge, Nebraska. She married Richard (Dick) Andrews in Springer, NM on June 9, 1961 and made their home on a farm southwest of Holbrook, Nebraska. She worked at Urbom Law Office in Arapahoe, Nebraska and then Frenchman Irrigation District in Cambridge, Nebraska for a number of years. During the 1990's she co-owned a craft shop, "Honeysuckle Crafts", in Cambridge, Nebraska. In 1994, she and Dick moved from the farm to a home in Cambridge, Nebraska. Her husband Dick passed away in August of 1998. She later married Earnest tenBensel on June 20, 2004 at Wilsonville, Nebraska. In December of 2007 she moved to the Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe, Nebraska. She enjoyed giving piano lessons in her home. She was active in an interdenominational bible study group and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Cambridge, Nebraska. She helped start the Holbrook Music Club and a member of the Cambridge Music Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard N. Andrews. Survivors include her husband Earnest tenBensel, of Cambridge, Nebraska Son: Glen Andrews of Beaver City, Nebraska Daughters: Patricia & husband Brent Bacon of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming Sandra & husband Merrill Stagemeyer of Cambridge, Nebraska Brother: Karl & Wife Toni Laumbach of Las Cruces, New Mexico Sisters: Ruth & husband Dave Fried of Austin, Texas Louise & husband Phillip Luft of Salisbury, Maryland Grandchildren: 6 Condolences and personal reflections may be sent to http://www.wenburgfuneralhome.com/ Viewing & visitation will be Friday, December 21, 2007 from 9 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home, in Arapahoe, Nebraska and prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 22, 2007 at 10 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church, in Cambridge, Nebraska with Pastors David Rowe & Keith Theobald, officiating. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery, at Cambridge, Nebraska. Memorials are suggested to the Good Samaritan Hospice. Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
