Jean P. Tauscher, age 94, of Beaver City, Nebraska passed away on March 28, 2019 at the Beaver City Manor, Beaver City, Nebraska. She was born on May 27, 1924 at Almena, Kansas to Ray O. & Edna M. (Luther) Bundy. The family moved to the Beaver City area when she was a very young girl and would attend school at Beaver City Schools. She later graduated from Beaver City High School. After her schooling, she worked at the Beaver City Manor in Beaver City as kitchen help and would later wait tables in local restaurants. Jean moved to Denver, Colorado and continued to work as a waitress in restaurants. She married a young man who worked as a laborer for the railroad, they later divorced. She returned to Beaver City, working as a house cleaner for local people and offices. She would retire and moved to the Beaver City Plaza until February of 2017 when she had a serious fall breaking her back, which required surgery and rehabilitation. On May 23, 2017 she moved into the Beaver City Assisted Living and later into the Beaver City Manor. She enjoyed helpful friends who gave her rides when her vision failed and always enjoyed dressing nice and respectfully to the company and event she was going to. Every week she traveled with a group of Nebraska friends to play bingo in Norton, Kansas until her fall. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Ward Bundy. She is survived by her sister-in-law Myrna Bundy. Viewing and visitation will be Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 4 PM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska and prior to the service at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 1:30 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska with Pastor Keith Theobald, officiating. Interment will be at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Beaver City, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
