Jerry Lee Stagemeyer, age 57, of Beaver City, Nebraska, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Good Samaritan Society, of Alma, Nebraska. He was born on September 20, 1958 at Oxford, Nebraska to Harold F. & Ethel M. (Hyke) Stagemeyer.
He attended school Hendley and Wilsonville, Nebraska before going to Beaver City High School and graduating with the Class of 1977. During and after high school, he farmed for Fernan Radtke, Church Facory in Oxford, Nebraska making church pews, and New Age in Norton, Kansas. At age 21, he began working for Burlington Northern-Santa Fe Railroad and worked there for 35 years. He enjoyed trips to Devil’s Lake, North Dakota and ski trips in Colorado with friends. He loved watching football, especially Nebraska Cornhusker’s and following the Southern Valley Eagles in all sports. He enjoyed yard work and was especially proud of his flowers. He was very generous at heart and had a contagious laugh.
He is preceded in death by his father Harold, brother Larry Harold, sisters Janet Faye Stagemeyer & Sueann Forbes, niece Katrina Trenchard and nephew Bobby

Viewing and visitation will be Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 10 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska with family present from 5:30 PM till 7 PM. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. James Moshier, officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Matthews Cemetery at Arapahoe, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home, of Beaver City, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
