June Fisher

June Fisher, age 80, of Kearney, Nebraska formerly of Oxford, Nebraska passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the St. John’s Good Samaritan Center in Kearney, Nebraska. She was born on August 5, 1934 at Bedford, Indiana to Clarence G. & Mary Elsie (Flinn) Dalton. June grew up in the Bedford, Indiana area. She was baptized in September of 1947 at the age of 13 at Pinhook Christian Church at Bedford. She married Ellis Fisher on June 4, 1955 in Bedford. They would move in 1976 to Almena, Kansas and later the Oxford, Nebraska area. She worked as a Nurses Aide at Beaver City Manor & Walker Post Nursing Home in Oxford. Because of health problems, they would move to Kearney, Nebraska. Ellis would pass away on July 21, 2014. She enjoyed reading, animals (especially cats), embroidery, & spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ellis, brother-in-law Fred Chastain, 2 nephews Jeffrey & Brent Demaree. Survivors include her sons: David Fisher of Kearney, Nebraska Randy Fisher of Columbus, Indiana Daughters: MaryKay Shearer of Kearney, Nebraska Bonnie Fisher of Kearney, Nebraska Sisters: Judy Chastain of Mitchell, Indiana Janet Demaree & husband Harry “Benny” of Bedford, Indiana 7 Grandchildren: Jacob & Jared Shearer, Matthew Fisher, Robert Fisher, Rachel Myers, Justin Fisher, & Kayla Harden 6 Great Grandchildren Condolences or personal reflections can be left at wenburgfuneralhome.com There will be a private family viewing only. Graveside services will be on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 11 AM at the Union Cemetery, in Beaver City, Nebraska with Pastor Becky Saddler, officiating.
