Kristi L. Carnes, age 34, and infant daughter Madysn Faye Harmon of Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Phelps Memorial Hospital, in Holdrege, Nebraska. She was born on June 5, 1980 in Oxford, Nebraska to Loren D. & Dianne F. (Coffman) Carnes.
Kristi grew up in Edison, Nebraska and attended elementary school at Edison Public Schools. She would then graduate from Arapahoe High School with the class of 1998. After high school, she went on to Central Community College in Hastings and received a degree in Graphic Design. She then worked in Omaha as a Graphic Designer. Kristi would then have 2 sons Keeghan & Kaden, who would bring more joy to her life than she thought possible. She would then move back to Edison, Nebraska and pursue a path in cosmetology by attending school at Joseph College of Beauty in Kearney, Nebraska. She would then move to Arapahoe, Nebraska and take a position at Becton-Dickinson Company in Holdrege, Nebraska. This would be where she would meet the love of her life and best friend Christopher “Toph” Harmon. After numerous days spent at the racetrack, they would become engaged and become pregnant with a precious baby girl, Madysn Faye Harmon, who was due in February. Kristi and Toph were to be joined in marriage on July 25th, 2015. She attended church at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe, Nebraska.
They were preceded in death by her maternal & paternal grandparents, and Uncle Timothy Coffman
They are survived by her fiancée and father Christopher “Toph” Harmon, of Arapahoe, Nebraska

Viewing and visitation will be Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 10 AM till 8 PM and Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 10 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home, the casket will be closed at the Church prior to services. Funeral services will be on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church, in Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. James Moshier, officiating. Interment will be at Edison Cemetery at Edison, Nebraska. Memorials are suggested to be given to her son’s education fund, which is set-up at First Central Bank, Arapahoe, Nebraska.
