Lawrence A. Sheneman, age 88, of Beaver City, Nebraska, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Phelps Memorial Hospital, of Holdrege, Nebraska. He was born on January 25, 1927 in Oxford, Nebraska to Earl & Phoebe Sheneman.
Lawrence grew up and attended school near Oxford, Nebraska. After his schooling, he joined the U.S. Navy Seabees. He served in Okinawa, Japan during his service period. After being honorably discharged, he returned to Nebraska to marry Dorothy Darlene Cozad at Beaver City, Nebraska. They moved to Loveland, Colorado were Lawrence worked in the carpentry business. In 1972, they returned to Beaver City, Nebraska so Darlene could help take care of her parents. Lawrence would work in the Beaver City area doing home carpentry.
He was a member of the Friendship Church in Beaver City, Nebraska, helping start the church and serving as Bible study leaders, singing duets, and many more leadership roles. He always loved sharing about the Lord his Savior with family and friends. He enjoyed having family meals together, playing and watching his grandchildren, and playing cards with other neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife D. Darlene, daughter Darla Bragaw, brothers Ralph, Neale, Hap, Marvin, & Eldon Sheneman, Granddaughter Hope, Father & Mother In Law: Oris & Elsie Cozad
He is survived by his son: Dale & wife Sue Sheneman of Oxford, Nebraska
Sister: Betty & husband Howard Smith of Anchorage, Alaska

No viewing or visitation as cremation was chosen. Celebration of life will be Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 3 PM at Friendship Church in Beaver City, Nebraska with Pastor Jamie Hargett, officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at Maple Creek (Precept) Cemetery, Beaver City, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home, of Beaver City, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
