Linda Lea Smith

Linda Lea Smith, age 67, of Arapahoe Neb, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018 in Cambridge hospital. She was born in January 16, 1951 in Oberlin, Kansas to Howard and Dixie (Gallentine) Foley. She grew up in Lebanon, Nebraska and later attended school in Ogallala, Nebraska. She married Steven Paul McGuire in 1972 in Colorado; to this union 3 children were born. Linda worked in the nursing field for most of her life. They also enjoyed helping and taking care of others. She enjoyed crafts of all sorts- reading, painting, and traveling with her children and mother. Linda is survived by her husband Alan Smith of Arapahoe Nebraska, mother Dixie Collins of Arapahoe, Nebraska, brother Jerry and wife Ember Foley of Arapahoe, Nebraska, sister Rhonda Huntsman of Colorado, son Victor McGuire of Fort Collins, Colorado, 2 daughters, Glorianna Engel and Danelle Eichhorst, both of Arapahoe, Nebraska, 7 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren. Linda is proceeded in death by her father, Howard Foley, brother Michael Foley, sister Barbara Foley Drake, and brother Steve Foley. There will be no viewing or visitation as cremation was chosen. Memorial service will be Friday, November 2, 2018 at 2 PM at Wenburg Funeral Chapel, 652 Main St., in Arapahoe, Nebraska with George Probasco, officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.
