Lula grew up in Arapahoe graduating from Arapahoe High School in 1953. After graduation she attended nursing school in Denver, Colorado. While there she met Chuck Six and were united in marriage on July 1st 1954 at Lowery Airforce base. Lu enjoyed her two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren. Lu loved gambling and pickle cards and doing birthday trips to casinos. One memorable moment is when she asked Chuck “do you have any change” and by change to you have any dollars”, so she could play pickle cards. She had a wicked sense of humor and was always keeping us on our toes and making sure we weren’t giving her any “lip service”

She is survived by her daughter JoAnn and husband Joe of Hastings.
