Lyle Martin Pfeiffer

Lyle Martin Pfeiffer, age 85, of Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away on Friday, November 25, 2016 at the Elwood Care Center, Elwood, Nebraska. He was born July 24, 1931 at Frontier County, Nebraska to Cornelius H. & Ida M. (Schutz) Pfeiffer. He attended parochial school for a few years and graduated from Elwood High School. He married Lois Maxine Menze on September 21, 1952, they farmed and ranched near Elwood before moving to Arapahoe, Nebraska in 1960 and later would move to Holbrook. Lois would pass away on May 21, 1996. He married Bonnie D. Breinig Wendland on December 12, 1998. Bonnie would pass away on January 31, 2008. After selling the farm and retiring, he moved into Sunshine Village of Arapahoe, Nebraska. Lyle was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Arapahoe and was involved with the church in many different capacities. He had a love of horses and music, especially enjoying playing the guitar and singing. Lyle is survived by his sons Gary and wife Cynthia Pfeiffer of Worland, Wyoming, Larry & wife Pam Pfeiffer of Arapahoe, Nebraska, Dwight & wife Ann Pfeiffer of Alliance, Nebraska, Daughter Donna & husband Larry Kuskie of Alliance, Nebraska Brothers Alvin & Wife Isabelle Pfeiffer of Arapahoe, Nebraska, Dale & wife Pat Pfeiffer of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Lloyd & wife Erma Pfeiffer of Arapahoe, Nebraska, Sisters Delores Oelkers of Elwood, Nebraska, Ardella & husband Duane Brand of Holdrege, Nebraska, Elaine Farr, of Eustis, Nebraska, Dorthea & husband LeMoyne Niemeier of Elwood, Nebraska, Step Son LeRoy & wife Kristine Wendland of Elwood, Nebraska, Step Daughters Diann & husband Steve Cooksley of Elwood, Nebraska, Elizabeth Heckenlively of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Grandchildren 7 Great-Grandchildren 7 Step-Grandchildren: 5 Step Great-Grandchildren: 9 Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, wives Lois & Bonnie, Infant twin siblings, 2 brother-in-laws Art Oelkers & Floyd Farr. Funeral services are Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church of Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. James Moshier, officiating.
