Marilyn D. Martin, age 80, of Beaver City, Nebraska died Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Phelps Memorial Hospital at Holdrege, Nebraska. She was born August 13, 1927 at Lyle, Kansas to Clarence & Vera (Bradley) Enfield.
Marilyn grew up in Kansas and moved to Nebraska when she was 14. She graduated from Wilsonville High School with the class of 1945. Following graduation she taught county school South of Hendley, Nebraska. She married Robert S. Martin on August 13, 1947 at Beaver City, Nebraska. She continued to teach a couple more years. They farmed South of Beaver City till Robert's death on December 1, 1997. She moved to Beaver City Plaza in 1997 and then spent the past 5 years at Beaver City Assisted Living and Beaver City Manor. She was a member of First United Methodist Church at Beaver City and was a past member of the "Happy Go Lucky Club".
Survivors include her son Tom Martin and wife Deborah of Wichita, Kansas
Sister: Ermalea Mason of Salina, Kansas
Grandson: 3 ( Alan, Shane and Jared Martin)
Great-Grandchildren; 6 (Jade, Jordan, Jonathan, Abigail, Madilyne and Myles)
She was preceded in death by parents; Sons: Dennis and Craig, husband Robert and Sister Joyce.

Visitation and viewing will be Monday, May 5, 2008 from 1 PM until 8 PM and Tuesday, May 6, 9 AM until 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City and prior to services Wednesday at the church.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 1:30 PM at First United Methodist Church in Beaver City with Rev. Robert E. Berlie, Sr. and Keith Theobald, officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery at Beaver City, Nebraska
