Marion A. Culver

Orleans, Nebraska Marion A. Culver, age 88, of Orleans, Nebraska died Thursday, December 13, 2007 at his home two miles east and three 1/2 miles north of Stamford, Nebraska. He died on the same farm where he was born. He was born June 26, 1919 at Orleans, Nebraska to George and Selma (Clarine) Culver. He went to District #30 school and then graduated from Orleans High School with the class of 1936. He started to farm with his father and continued farming till retirement in the late 1980's. He married Helen Smith on May 31, 1953 at First Christian Church in Beaver City, Nebraska. Marion was a member of Stamford Christian Church and served in different offices and helped where ever needed until the closing of the church. They would then attend the Stamford Evangelical Free Church and was currently attending the First Baptist Church in Oxford, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his Wife: Helen of Orleans, Nebraska 2 Sons: Robert and wife Linda Culver of Orleans, Nebraska David and wife Angela Culver of Orleans, Nebraska 2 Sisters: Marjorie Young of Laveen, AZ June and husband Alfred Frahm of Evansdale, Iowa 4 Grandchildren: Stephanie, Joseph, Emily and Sarah Culver all of Orleans, Nebraska Condolences or personal reflections can be left at www. wenburgfuneralhome.com Viewing and visitation will be Saturday and Sunday, 1 PM until 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska and prior to services Monday at the church Memorial established to Hospice of Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation or donor's choice, can be left at Wenburg Funeral Home or at the church. Funeral services will be Monday, December 17, 2007 at 1:30 PM at First Baptist Church at Oxford, Nebraska with Pastors: Dave Hunt and Murray Jones, officiating. Burial will follow at Stamford Cemetery at Stamford, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska in charge of arrangements.
