Otto George Haussler, age 97, of Arapahoe, Nebraska, died Monday, March 5, 2007 at the Cozad Community Hospital, in Cozad, Nebraska. He was born on July 22, 1909 north of Holbrook, Nebraska, to Carl & Mary (Huxoll) Haussler.
He grew up on the family farm north of Holbrook, Nebraska. On May 4, 1930, he married Josie Fay Cross at St. Matthews Lutheran Church of rural Holbrook, Nebraska. They were the first couple to be married in the St. Matthews Church. They would make their home on the farm north of Holbrook, Nebraska. They farmed for 60 years before retiring and moving to Arapahoe, Nebraska. His wife Josie passed away on July 13, 2003. He was a member of St. Matthews Church and then transferred his membership to the Trinity Lutheran Church of Arapahoe, Nebraska.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Josie Fay Haussler, son Bernard Haussler, Daughter-In-Law Carol Haussler, Granddaughter Audrey Haussler, Great-Granddaughter Kristina Haussler
He is survived by his 4 Grandchildren: Susan Henry, Charles Haussler

Viewing & visitation will be Thursday, March 8, from 9 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Arapahoe, Nebraska and prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be Friday, March 9, at 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. David Otten, officiating. Burial will be at Holbrook Cemetery, Holbrook, Nebraska.
