Pamela S. Lamb, 63, of Beaver City passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Holdrege, NE. Pam was born to Robert and Elizabeth (Hansen) Reed on June 4, 1954 in Omaha, NE. She grew up in Omaha and received degrees in Elementary Education and Deaf Education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. After graduation she moved to Edison, NE and taught for several years. After the Edison school closed, Pam was a substitute teacher for Southern Valley Schools, and more recently she taught Title I from which she retired in October of 2016. While teaching in Edison, she met Van Lamb, her husband of 31 years. To this union they were blessed with two children, Frank and Christine. The Lambs made their home in Beaver City. Pam was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. Her family and the kids she taught made her into the happy, bright, and always laughing person that everyone loved. She enjoyed riding in the semi with Van, feeding the bulls, and helping with the everyday farm chores. One of her favorite hobbies was reading, which she loved sharing with kids. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family. She could brighten a room with her laugh, and all would be laughing too by the time she left. She loved her animals. Growing up she always had animals, and she continued that her entire life, whether Van liked it or not. Pam was very active with her church. She spent her summers doing vacation Bible schools, helped with praise and worship on Sundays, and for many years she custom made bulletins for Sunday morning service. She issurvived by her husband Van of Beaver City; son Frank, and wife Paula of Travis AFB, California; daughter Christine of Beaver City and fiancé Jim Skinner of Norton, Kansas. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Jacob, Judson and Penelope “BeeBub”; two sisters, Anne Billups and husband Jim of Gretna, and Cynthia Trujilloof Beaver City; mother-in-law Dee Lamb of Beaver City, and a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Bob and Libby Reed and father-in-law Bill Lamb. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Beaver City Ambulance Service and The McCook Humane Society. There will be no viewing or visitation as cremation was chosen. Memorial Service will be Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 2:30 PM at the Faith Community Church in Beaver City, Nebraska with Pastor Steve Sturtevant, officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date..
