Raymond Leon Peterson, age 75, of Tucson, Arizona passed away on April 1, 2016. He was born on January 24, 1941 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Ralph Emerson and Evelyn Vivian (Eno) Peterson.
After graduating from the University of Nebraska with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 1963, he began his career in hardware and software engineering. After 40 years of service in various semiconductor companies: Northrup Nortronics, Texas Instruments, Kasper Instruments, a division of Eaton Corp., GCA Corp., Pacific Union College, SVG, Tokyo Electron, ADE Phase Shift, and KLA Tencor, Ray retired in Tucson, Arizona. Even in his retirement he continued to stay active in service to his church and various boards that he served on.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Marlene Peterson and his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years: Myrna Loy Barlow Peterson, Children: Nadine Adele Davis and spouse Brad of Sacramento, California; Neal Alan Peterson and spouse, Kazumi of Portland, Oregon Natalie Ann Wood and spouse, Jon of Ooltewah, Tennessee and Ned Andrew Peterson and spouse, Karen of Coral, Michigan; And 5 grandchildren, Nadine’s son, Brandon; Natalie’s son, James and daughter, MaryAnn; and Ned’s son, Kaden and daughter, Cheyenne; Sister Gloria June Yoder, Nieces and nephews, Brian Yoder, Lisa Yoder-Fulfer, Steve Peterson, David Peterson

There will be no viewing or visitation. Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 2 PM at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Beaver City, Nebraska. Interment will be at the Union Cemetery at Beaver City, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
