Reva Rae Hockemeier, age 68, of Holbrook, Nebraska died Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at Cambridge Hospital, Cambridge, Nebraska. She was born on March 11, 1937 at Dresden, Kansas to Fred & Hazel (Wagner) Arehart.
She attended country school in Kansas and schools in Victor & Lodi, California. She attended Decatur County High School in Oberlin, Kansas and graduated with the Class of 1955. After graduation, she worked as a dental nurse. On October 20, 1957 she married Norman Hockemeier at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Oberlin, Kansas. They made their home in Holbrook, NE. She spent many years babysitting, working in various Café’s, and worked on the Holbrook election board.
She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith on July 2, 1958 at the St. Matthews Church of rural Holbrook, Nebraska and attended until the church closed in 1967. At this time she and Norman became active members of Trinity Lutheran Church of Arapahoe. There she worked with A.A.L., a Sunday School Teacher, and Mission Mall.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral Services will be Monday, May 9, 2005 at 2 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Arapahoe, NE with Rev. Jeff Ernstmeyer, officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, May 7, from 9 AM until 8 PM and Sunday, May 8, from 1 PM until 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, NE and prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Holbrook Cemetery, Holbrook, NE. Memorials may be given in her name to the American Cancer Society. Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, NE is in charge of the arrangements.
