Robert O. Marshall

Robert O. Marshall, age 90, of Beaver City, Nebraska passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Beaver City Manor & Assisted Living in Beaver City, Nebraska. He was born August 13, 1925 at the family farm north of Beaver City, Nebraska to Earl & Fern (Ventling) Marshall. Bob grew up north of Beaver City and attended Beaver City High School and graduated with the Class of 1943. After his schooling, he helped his father farm. He enlisted in the U.S. Army at the end of World War II. After his service, he married Evelyn Edwards and to this union 4 boys were born; Robert Michael, Earl John, David Eugene, & Stuart Lynn Marshall. Evelyn would pass away in 1958. He married Betty Yarrington and to this marriage one daughter was born, Roberta Ann Marshall. Besides farming and ranching, he also owned Bob Marshall Steel & Construction, doing construction work in Nebraska and Kansas. Because of health reason, he would move to the Beaver City Manor & Assisted Living in August of 2015. Bob was a member of the United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, and Lion’s Club, all of Beaver City and enjoyed being a 4-H leader while his children were growing up. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Evelyn, brothers Glen, Wayne, & Harold Marshall, and sister-in-law Doris Marshall. He is survived by wife Betty Marshall of Beaver City, Nebraska Sons: Mick & wife Cindy Marshall of Holdrege, Nebraska John Marshall of Yakama, Washington Gene & wife Karen Marshall of Casa Grande, Arizona Lynn & wife Margie Marshall of Omaha, Nebraska Daughter: Roberta Marshall of Beaver City, Nebraska Grandchildren: 8 Great-Grandchildren: 18 Sister-In-Law: Mary Marshall of Hastings, Nebraska Condolences or personal reflections can be left at wenburgfuneralhome.com Viewing and visitation will be Monday, November 16, 2015 from 10 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held on November 17, 2015 at 1 PM at United Methodist Church in Beaver City, Nebraska with Pastor Becky Saddler, officiating. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Beaver City, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
