Robert O. Warner Jr., age 94, of Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 at the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe, Nebraska. He was born on May 10, 1922 in Holbrook, Nebraska to Robert O. and Rose E. (Hilker) Warner, the first of six children. He grew up in the Holbrook area and graduated from Holbrook High School with the class of 1939. He married Marjorie Litz on June 10, 1945 at McCook, Nebraska. They moved to a farm northwest of Beaver City, Nebraska. In 1961, they moved to the farm south west of Arapahoe and in 1977 would purchase and move to their current home on the southeast side of Arapahoe, Nebraska. Because of his health in 2013, he moved to the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center. A true “farmer” in every sense of the word, Robert witnessed the 1935 Republican River Flood, he endured the Great Depression, and raised a family of 4 sons; growing crops, raising hogs, and cattle for 80 plus years. Robert was a life-long supporter of the 4-H program in Furnas County, attending over 75 Furnas County Fairs and watching his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren display their many projects. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Arapahoe, Nebraska. He and Marjorie had many enjoyable nights Square Dancing with local dance groups. He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers James, Joe, Jerome and 2 sisters Norma Layman and Joan Reiland, Daughter-In-Law Tammi Warner, Infant grandson Justin Warner, Granddaughter-in-law Kasey Jo Warner He is survived by his wife Marjorie Warner of Arapahoe, Nebraska Sons: Jerry & wife Naomi Warner of Omaha, Nebraska Monte & wife Kristie Warner of Arapahoe, Nebraska Reginald & wife Mary Kay Warner of Arapahoe, Nebraska Ervin & Lorri Warner of Arapahoe, Nebraska 11 Grandchildren: Jeremy Warner, Jennifer Renken, Darren Warner, Dan Warner, Kristin Vest, Jason Warner, Carmen Warner, Justin Schultz, Alex Schultz, Lauren Anderson, Logan Warner 10 Great-Grandchildren: Grant Renken, Gunner Renken, Aubree Warner, Bryson Warner, Addelyn Warner, Gentry Warner, Berkley Warner, Kallan Warner, Creyton Warner, Jet Schultz And a host of relatives and friends. Condolences or personal reflections may be left at wenburgfuneralhome.com Viewing and visitation with the family present on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 4 PM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Chapel, 652 Main Street, Arapahoe. Graveside services will be Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11 AM at the Arapahoe Cemetery, Arapahoe, Nebraska with Pastors Becky Saddler and George Probasco. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Furnas County 4-H Council and First United Methodist Church. Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of arrangements
