Roger Lee Luke, age 57, of Holbrook, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Hillcrest Nursing Home at McCook, Nebraska. He was born on July 15, 1957, at Holdrege, Nebraska to Virgil & Leona (Fisher) Luke.
He attended grade school in Mascot, Nebraska and graduated from Oxford High School in Oxford, Nebraska with the class of 1975. He married Shari Misterek and later would divorce. He enjoyed farming and trucking while working for several farmers, including Robert “Cork” Lueking, Clyde, & Jerry Lueking. For the past 15 years he has worked for Eldon Reese of Reese Trucking. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Arapahoe, Nebraska.
He enjoyed fishing, watching sports on television (especially cheering for the Huskers), and playing pool and cards. Many fond memories were had going to the horse races with family and friends who were racing. He had a small camper and was talking about going camping this summer. When younger, he enjoyed water skiing and being at the lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents and niece Amy Luke
He is survived by his daughter: Alicia Bergstrom of Franklin, Nebraska

Great Nieces: Maddie & Sami Stone, Amy & Tenley Luke

There will be no viewing or visitation. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 1:30 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Arapahoe, Nebraska with Pastor Becky Saddler, officiating. Interment will be at the Oxford Cemetery at Oxford, Nebraska. Memorials are suggested to be made in his name to help with funeral expenses. Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
