Stephen Kelley Theobald, age 63, of Beaver City, Nebraska died Monday, September 24, 2012 at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Holdrege, Nebraska. He was born December 24, 1948 at McCook, Nebraska to Carlton "Bootie" and Carol (Harrold) Theobald.
Steve was a life long resident of Beaver City, Nebraska. He graduated from Beaver City High School with the Class of 1967. Steve attended Nebraska Christian College in Norfolk, Nebraska for one year and then attended McCook Junior College for two years. He married Nancy Herron on October 23, 1970 at Beaver City, Nebraska to this union two children were born. They later divorced. Steve served 26 years with the Nebraska National Guards. He worked for the County of Furnas for the past 36 years as a grader operator.
His love was for his family and grandchildren as well as his bike and Harley-Davidson Motorcycle.
He was a member of First Christian Church in Beaver City, Nebraska where was Church Treasurer. He also spent time as a councilor for Valley Hope Organization.
He was preceded in death by his Dad "Bootie" in 1965 and a niece Amanda Jo Kasson in 1981.

Daughter: Carrie and husband James Kavanaugh of Federal Way, Washington
Mother; Carol Theobald of Beaver City, Nebraska
Brother: Dr. Patrick Theobald and wife Amber of Marshfield, Missouri
3 Sisters: Sally and husband Shelley Lee of Denver, Pennsylvania
Pam and husband Dan Kasson of Fountain, Colorado
Kathryn and husband Mark Newman of Colorado Springs, Colorado
Grandchildren: 3

Viewing and visitation will be Thursday, Sept 27th, 1 PM until 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 28, 2012 at 1:30 PM at First Christian Church in Beaver City, Nebraska with Pastor Lance Shafer, officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Beaver City, Nebraska.
