Teresa Ann Meyers

Teresa Ann Meyers, age 67, of Kearney, Nebraska, formerly of Holbrook, Nebraska passed away on July 16th, 2018 at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital of Kearney, Nebraska. She was born on January 26, 1951 in Elwood, Nebraska to Victor and Helen Wendland. Teresa was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church, north of Arapahoe and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Cambridge, Nebraska. She went to school at Holbrook High School and graduated with the class of 1969, were she was valedictorian and prom queen her senior year. After high school, she attended school and Central Community College and graduated with her Dental Assistant degree. She married Neal E. Meyers on December 20, 1969 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cambridge, NE. To this union three children were born; Troy, Tonya, and Tiffany. Neal and Teresa made their home in the Holbrook area, where they farmed and raised livestock for over 40 years. She worked at the Arapahoe Dental Clinic for 40 years. Teresa was active at Trinity Lutheran Church and LWML as a teacher, officer for LWML, and leader with the children’s ministry. She enjoyed being a 4-H leader, Holbrook School Board member, and active member in many Holbrook activities. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Neal Meyers in 2015. Teresa is survived by her son Troy Meyers, of Arapahoe, Nebraska, daughters Tonya and husband Jeff Ingram of Gibbon, Nebraska, Tiffany and husband Ted Downey of Arapahoe, Nebraska, sisters Vicky and husband Larry Warner of Funk, Nebraska, Kate and husband Ric Meyers of Holbrook, Nebraska, Lana and husband Steve Hilker of Arapahoe, Nebraska and Ida and husband Keith Soncksen of Arapahoe, Nebraska. Grandchildren: Shelbi (Skyler), Melonie, and Nolan Meyers, Rylee, Crayton, Jaxson, and Dawson Ingram, and Ashton, Hilary, and Trey Vargas. Viewing and visitation will be Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 9 AM till 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Arapahoe, Nebraska. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church of Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. James Moshier, officiating. Interment will be at the St. Matthew Cemetery, Holbrook, Nebraska.
