Twila Marie Fults, age 87, of Beaver City, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Beaver City Manor, in Beaver City, Nebraska. She was born to Harry Lawrence and Marie Evelyn (Lomax) Martin on February 20, 1934 on the family farm southwest of Beaver City, Nebraska. She was the seventh of nine children who were all born in the area. She graduated from Green Ridge Country School District #35. Twila then attended Beaver City High School graduating in 1951 with honors. It was at BCHS that she met her high school sweetheart K. Dale Fults, and they were married at Methodist Church in Hendley, Nebraska on June 16, 1951. After a honeymoon in the Black Hills, the couple made their home south of Beaver City in a house built and lived in by Dale’s grandparents-George A. and Lydia E. (Moore) Fults. Dale and Twila continued to live here for 70 years where they raised their family; Kendall Ray, Karla Janene, Bradley Gene, and David Martin who were all born in Norton, Kansas. Twila taught one term in the Hendley, Nebraska middle grades and junior high. She was involved in milking cows, raising chickens, growing big vegetable gardens, and flowers, and lawn mowing. She attended many baseball games when Dale was coaching, and the family was all involved. She belonged to the Studio Art Club and with the members took lessons at several art classes. She loved to cook and made and sold decorated cakes for many years. Twila was a past member of the Beaver City Grange, the Friendship and MGR Extension clubs, and bowling teams. She was a 49-year treasurer of the Beaver City Seventh-Day Adventist Church of which she was a member for 70 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister LaVonne E. Martin, Elta D. Eatherton and DeEtta L. (Richard) Dunkhas, brothers Lawrence W. Martin, Bertell G. Martin, and LaVerne L. Martin, grandparents Walter and Marguerita Maggie (Bruening) Martin, Walter and Luella ‘May’ (Holton) Lomax, nieces Deanna Wolzen Monie, DeAnn Martin Laliberti, Mary E. Brox, Nephews James L. Smith, and Dennis L. Martin, Great-Grandsons Dylan M. Fults and Holden H. Fults and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. She is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years K. Dale Fults, sons; Kendall (Allison) Fults of Lower Lake, California, Bradley Fults of Bridgeport, Nebraska, and David of Encinitas, California and daughter Karla (Dr. Cecil) Lamberton of Napa, California, grandchildren: Lindsay Fults Mars, Krista (Daniel) Lamberton Gavira, Kyle (Ashley) Fults, Dustin (Thanh) Fults, Brennon Fults, Jordan (Ashley) Lamberton, Courtney (James) Fults Highday and Gaven (Tiffany) Fults. Great-Grandchildren Florian Koep, Ella Klostermann, Kaden Broeker, Hope Koep, Braylon Fults, Calder Munson, Emmy Fults, Lola Fults, Avery Fults, Marlowe Gavira, Kenlee Fults, Adalynn Fults, Grant Fults, Stone Lamberton, Cru Fults, Rowan Gavira, Hudson Fults, sisters Helen Wolzen and Carol Smith of Beaver City, Nebraska and many relatives and friends. Viewing and visitation will be Monday, February 14, 2022 from 2 PM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska. Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 10:30 AM at Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Beaver City, Nebraska with Pastor Lawrence Francis and Bill Weaver, officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, of Beaver City. Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City is in charge of the arrangements.
