Vernon O. Tanner, age 100, of Norton, Kansas formerly of Beaver City, Nebraska died Sunday, March 19, 2006 at Andbe Home in Norton, Kansas. He was born December 23, 1905 at Seward, Nebraska to Leslie and Anna (Schultz) Tanner.
He grew up in the Burwell area. He later moved to Cozad, Nebraska. He married Hethie Randall on June 12, 1949 at Arapahoe, Nebraska. The farmed in the Precept area until 1957 when they moved to a farm South of Beaver City, Nebraska where they lived until 1997 when moved to Norton, Kansas to be near family. He moved to Andbe Home in 2005. He was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church in Beaver City, Nebraska and transferred to Seventh Day Adventist Church in Norton, Kansas in 1997.
Preceded in death by his parents, 2 Sons; Dennis & Arlen, 1 Brother; Williams; 6 Sisters: Mary Grist, Lavina Frank, Viola Harvey, Anna Tanner, Leota Mountain and Roxie Berry.
Survivors include wife: Hethie of Norton, Kansas
Son; Steve Tanner & wife Donna of Norton, Kansas
Daughter: Marjorie & husband Norman Kingham of Almena, Kansas
2 Sisters: Ruby Remmington of Ft. Collins, CO
Harriet Crowder of Ontario, OR

Graveside services will be Friday, March 24, 2006 at 2 PM at Union Cemetery, rural Beaver City, Nebraska with Pastor Marion Miller, Officiating. Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska in Charge of arrangements.
