Wilma Fern Mishler, age 91, of Cambridge, Nebraska formerly of Holbrook, Nebraska died on Monday, September 19, 2011 at the Cambridge Manor, in Cambridge, Nebraska. She was born on April 3, 1920 south of Holbrook, Nebraska to Albert "Jig" & Addie (Lankston) Robeson.
She grew up on a farm south of Holbrook, Nebraska. She attended school in District 71 in Furnas County, and graduated from Holbrook High School in 1938. In September of 1938 she started her teaching career.
On May 2, 1942 she married Robert (Bob) Mishler. They made their home on a farm north of Edison, Nebraska. Bob was called to service on July 4, 1942. Wilma kept teaching until he returned home on October 26, 1945. They were married for 60 years and had one son, Rex. They farmed their entire lives in the area, at Edison, Elwood, Eustis, & Arapahoe, Nebraska. She worked for and retired from Becton-Dickinson in Holdrege, Nebraska. After several decades of farming they purchased a home and retired in Holbrook.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, & brother Fay
She is survived by her son Rex & wife Pauline Mishler of Park City, Montana

Granddaughters: Janet & husband Clint Joppa of Stamford, Nebraska
Robyn Mishler of Laramie, Wyoming

Viewing and visitation will be Tuesday, September 20, 2011 from 9 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home, Arapahoe, Nebraska and prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church, at Arapahoe, Nebraska with Pastor George Probasco, officiating. Burial will be at the Edison Cemetery, Edison, Nebraska. Memorials are suggested to Asera Care Hospice, 4111 4th Ave. Ste 50, Kearney, Nebraska 68845.
